Second, I wanted to update you as to where things are at right now: Everything is going very well and I am very excited to say that the film has already exceeded all my expectations!!! There has been some very important new development, please keep reading...

Meanwhile, here are the latest news regarding progress:

All edits have now been reviewed and finalized. I am done tightening the film and the current length is at around 118 minutes ! It was very challenging cutting the film down from it's original 158 minutes length and took quite a lot of time, but the audience at our Test Screening indicated that they would prefer it to be less lengthy and for the pace to be a hair faster, and this has now been achieved, giving the film great potential for possible theatrical release, if one was to be secured.

I had initially hoped to be done with all my film work in January but all Hollywood pros I consulted said the same thing: This is a very special film, that has a chance to actually gets major distribution!!!!!! I cannot deny our hot rod film a chance to reach the masses and give the jalopies the spotlight they so greatly deserve and have not received in decades. So I decided to make a go for it. I was advised to not rush the final process of mixing the sound and to take the time to do IT RIGHT. After watching the film, a team of Hollywood pro sound mixers has offered their pro-bono assistance to help improve on the current sound design and mix so that the film sounds as good as it looks and this is a very exciting new development. An extraordinary opportunity in deed! They estimated this will take about three months worth of work. Although this is throwing a wrench (pun intended!!) in my initial release date plans, I believe it is for the good of the film and I hope you will all support me in this decision.

So it seems that realistically, the film may not be done until around May. I have updated these dates in the online store already, but for those of you who ordered a while back, I wanted to give you a heads up. I know many of you can't wait to see the film and I can't wait to share it with you, believe me! This is the final stretch to the finish line. And when all is said and done, we will have a hot rod film we can all be proud of, well worth the wait. Let's take it as far as it will / can go.

Thank you for your patience, support and encouragement. Please tell all your car buddies about DEUCE OF SPADES and keep me in your prayers as I continue to strive forward in accomplishing this one of a kind home made master piece.

I will be sending you an update every month to keep you posted of progress, and remember you can follow the film on Twitter for day to day updates, so you are not kept wondering how things are going and where they are at :)... Please note that it is very difficult, if not impossible, for me to reply to all emails regarding the film now a day, (although I do try) so if you email me and do not hear back, please be understanding and don't take it personally :)...
