26th Annual Lead East

Lead East 2008, an Oldies Music and Old Car Weekend unlike any event held anywhere. Indoor & Outdoor Day & Night Lineup, Sock Hops, Drive-In Movies, Cruising, Jitterbug and Swing Dancing, Doo Wop A Cappella, Prom Night and More! This is the 26th year for this cherished event. Lead East is for 1972 and earlier vehicles, but it's not just a car show! Lead East is a giant 50's Party, offering more unique events than 15 normal car shows added together. If you dig the good old days of greased hair, tail fins, and 50"s rock n' roll then Lead East is the party for you.

Charles City County Fair Car Show

Location 8320 Ruthville Road, Ruthville Va. 23147. Car show registration 8:00am to 12:00pm. Judging begins at 1:00pm. Presented by the Charles City Hot Road Association. Awards presented in all classes. Registration fee $15.00 in advance and $20.00 on the day of show. Registration begins at 8:00am to 11:30am. Judging will begin at 1:00pm. Presentation of awards and trophies immediately follows. All makes and models are welcome. Awards and trophies are awarded in all classes. Special class for old school cars (note: tires must be 20 inches or more). Fun for the entire family. Food, midway rides, crafts everything you would want at a county fair. Friday night bingo, Saturday fair dedication, midway rides officially opens. Sunday evening old time gospel singing with gospel groups from local churches.
