I would like to thank everyone for the support you've each expressed and helping with the launching of the first issue of Still Runnin Magazine. Your enthusiasm has encouraged myself and many others to burn the midnight oil into the wee hours of the morning. We are very excited about Still Runnin's concept and traveling the east coast. Look for us because we're looking for you, the real people, the real stories, the real builds.
We're leaping right into February and it's time for Bike Week in Daytona Beach. I have the lap top packed and the front wheel is rolling south, but not to worry, we'll be back. While I'm gone drop a line, remember we want to know what's in your garage, while you're sorting your snapshots, pick out a few favorites.
I'll do the same at the World's Most Famous Beach. Be sure to cruise back thru and check out where we've been and who's who, you never know it could be you!
P.S.
To the Kopper Kart Guys...
610 miles & 12 hours to go...
Good Luck in Detroit!
Safe trip, see ya soon!

This being our first issue, we are going to try to bring you an overview of the shows we attended in 2007. In the future, we will be more timely about reporting on shows. We will also try to give you a date or at least contact information for the following year's show, for those of you (like us) who need to plan ahead. If you would like to have us at a show with the date, time and place and we will do our best to cover it. We drive our old stuff to the shows, so time and distance might affect our attending. If we are unable to attend we welcome you to take some digital pictures (in hi-res) and mail them to us with a contact name and number where we can reach you for further information, then we can give you some show recognition.
One of my favorite rides is this '58 Corvette that I pulled out of Oak Ridge Auto Salvage, in Jersey, in late 1969. In 38 years we have put over 500,000 miles on this car, with the help of 3 motors, 2 trans and 2 rears, (three interiors, 2 tops, etc., etc.). With the '59 El Camino 308 rear it gets around 20 mpg. It is hot in the summer, leaks in the rain and absolutely sucks in the snow. And I still get a thrill taking a road trip or slamming gears in it!

So thanks for taking a ride with us and keep drivin' your classics.
That's what they were built for.
