Reflections of America
Still Runnin is proud to bring you exclusive interviews with World Renown
and Internationally published photo-realist, Bob Petillo.
Each month you will learn the story behind each of his masterpiece series,
“Reflections of America”, a photo-realistic view of American Icons.
“Frankie’s Root Beer”
A classic American icon is reflected in this gorgeous ‘37 Oldsmoble, complete with roller skates and short order cook. Can you find the kegs of root beer?
Bob says, “I was in Ohio on my way to a car show and came across this place. The name was changed to protect the creative. The ‘37 Olds was there looking mighty photogenic. It was as if my camera started beeping and flashing and sending up flairs. Photo Moment! Photo Moment! A few minutes later I had everything I needed to put this painting together and make it look as real as a photo. If you look deep into the reflection, you’ll find more extras … like my Dad’s ‘68 Buick and fries on the ground for the birds.”
