Bob describes how this amazing painting came about....

“It happened quite by accident or maybe there is no such thing. It was a crisp October Sunday afternoon and there she sat in the supermarket parking lot; like a meticulously polished
jewel in the amber sunlight, this 1957 Chevy Bel Air sent me back to my car for my camera. It only took a few seconds and I knew I had the shot. Shot in 35mm, I knew before the picture was developed, I nailed it!”

Bob included a self portrait as he photographed this classic beauty. Keep an “eye” on the headlight, too!

It wasn’t long after the painting was completed that he added the American flag and became inspired.  The “REFLECTIONS OF AMERICA” series of paintings is born, with every style of painting from abstract to surrealism reflected in the sculptured curves, Bob paints the entire series in photorealism. The details pictured here show the diversity of painting styles.

It truly was the beginning of the concept for his masterpiece series, “Reflections of America”, a photo-realistic view of American Icons.

Still Runnin Magazine is featuring the story behind each of Bob’s masterpieces.
