Rust Revival

Rust Revival 2008 ... The 2nd Annual Rust Revival was a huge success! With over 220 cars in attendance, the show nearly tripled in size in just its second year. The weather was perfect for a gathering of some great American automobiles. Cars from all over the midwest including; Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Nebraska, Indiana, Kansas, Oklahoma, just to name a few proved it.

Friday night the Rumblejetts outta’ KC, MO., kicked off the party right with their killer sound, with back up drummer Big Otis, who was fillin’ in for a late workin’ Judd. The band never missed a beat!

As early as 7 am Saturday morning cars where arriving early to ensure a good spot for the venue packed full of food, beer, vendors and of course lots of cars! By high noon the crowd on hand was sizable, overflowing to all the lil’ side streets filling all the nooks and cranny’s, after Main street ran out of parking. Scott Kay and The Continentals from St. Louis started off the great music at 11 am playing thru til’ three. Then is was time for the silent auction and the HAMB Meet and Greet. Pinstripers had raised nearly $1,000 bucks for local charity! Miss Major and her Minor Mood Swings, also of KC, MO., took the stage at 4 pm and flat out just rocked the place!

Closing the night, Judd made it on time from a long Friday night of work to grab the other boys from the Rumblejetts and closed out the show in a huge way! Everyone had a blast! Between the vendors, stripers, beer tent and the great food at Reeds Bar & Grill, you’d have been hard pressed to find anyone who wasn’t havin’ a great time. Winding down an hour or so after midnight the remaining Hotrods decided it was time to head home. The night air filled with open headers and tire smoke as they roared outta’ town. Kinda like a fireworks display, it was the perfect way to end a great event!

Bigger and better are the plans for next year, including the
1st Annual Mini Bike Drags!
