From the Publisher: Hot Rods of Joy
Sometimes it is easy to overlook that these are special times. I’m not talking about what goes on in the Real world, but what goes on in Our world ... the world where we are cruisin’ down the highways and byways. The days spent in the garage that turn to late night working on the project you have poured your heart and soul into and probably every last extra dime you own.
We all have shared them throughout the year. Yes these are the special times and Still Runnin Magazine has had a great time sharing them with you.
2008 has brought uncertainty in many aspects, but there has always been one thing that all of us continue to find comfort in and that is reliving the good old days through our cars. The days of the Golden Oldies, Doo Wop, 2 Lane Black Top and American Graffiti. When fools rushed in, bobby socks, soc hops and drive-ins.
During the holiday season we tend to reflect, give thanks and share in the magic of the holidays with those dear to us. All of us at Still Runnnin Magazine, especially myself, are thankful for our families and our extended hot rod family. It has been our pleasure to have met so many of you this year and look forward to the many shows and backyard builds in the coming new year.
I would especially like to thank those of you that have welcomed and helped in so many ways with the success of Still Runnin’s inaugural year. It’s been nothing short of amazing!
Still Runnin is not your ordinary car magazine, it is a magazine with heart. It is about real people, with real stories, and real homegrowns. We have gathered many stories about the guy next door during our travels on the road and look forward to sharing them with you in the next series of Still Runnin Magazine. Who knows one of them may be you! We’re looking forward to what lies ahead in 2009. If we missed your show last year, let us know, we’ll try our best to be there this year. Remember ... these are the special times.

don’t have much.”
