The award was chosen from a field of nine unbelievable vehicles, these vehicles were all awarded a “Fine Nine Trophy”.

With over one-thousand automobiles in attendance at the largest indoor car show in the country the winner is ...... the car known as the Merrodder, owned by Scott Whitaker of Dynamat who earned the Go for the Gold award and the $20,000 cash that goes along with it at Darryl Starbird’s National Rod & Custom Car Show in Tulsa, Oklahoma on February 22, 2009. Scott’s ‘50 Mercury was designed by Larry Erickson & built by Larry Kramer.
