“The House That Ruth Built”

It was the early fall of 2008.  Yankee pin stripes graced the playing field at Yankee Stadium, The House that Ruth built, for the absolute last time.

It seems unimaginable.  It all reads like the beginning of a novel where the world is about to end or something; but the world will carry on and so will the New York Yankees in a brand new magnificent Yankee Stadium.

It was worth a special trip to the Bronx for Bob Petillo to take pictures to reflect in the chrome of this ‘55 Buick.  Bob said, “It was the last week of play at the stadium and I just had to get it.   It captures a real piece of American history.”
