The body had no floor, no firewall or door jams, we had a lot of work to do. I bought a real steel firewall from another one of dad's buddies to strengthen the cowl and we made the floor from plywood that I fiberglassed in. We made all the steel frame work and glass, the body was in rough shape from sitting for 30 years in different places, it was in need of a lot of hours in body work. The whole car was built by myself and my father. It took 5 long years on a tight budget.

The last year of building was spent at home in our home garage, everything from mounting the body to wiring and final assembly, even installing the interior was done in our garage. The interior was stitched by Rick Trebino out of Bellingham MA with dad and I making the seat, shaped the foam for it, interior panels and we even did the rugs.

After 5 years and a lot of work, we rolled it out in the spring of 2005. I learned a great deal from my dad and all his buddies who helped. This was the best way and still is the best way to spend time with my dad. I am grateful to him and I love my '32, I have had so much fun driving it!  My first month driving the car I was caught in a hail storm, then the following week with only 100 miles on it ... no top and no hood we drove 450 miles to the NSRA Nats' East in York PA. From that moment I knew I was born to have this car.

PS. This was a true learning experience and a great father and son project. Still today my father and I go to every car show, rod run and cruise night together. Thanks Dad for my '32 and a time in my life that I will never forget!
