They show up the following week and it’s like seeing a little kid at Christmas! He wants to help, so for the next week he works on cleaning up the wiring mess. Now he has part of my vision (I don’t tell him everything!) of what it’s going to look like. Now he quits asking when the car’s going to be done ... finally!

I try to work on it every chance I can, but I can’t seem to leave anything alone. He’s sending parts and I’m buying parts because this thing needs to get done and mom thought we could build a car on a budget!

Fast forward to 2008 and I’m trying to get it ready for paint. Most of the panels have been stripped to metal and bodywork has gone from there. After a year of banging panels and the never ending block sanding, it was ready to paint.
