The 2nd Saturday of every month Historic Downtown Canal Street in New Smyrna Beach, Florida is home to street rods and antique cars, the show generally runs from 4 to 8pm. The city closes off the street to all vehicle traffic with the exception of the Classic cars.
Canal Street offers a wholesome hometown feeling when walking down the palm and oak lined streets with plenty of free parking space for over 350 vehicles. Many of the shops on the street are open for business along with street vendors with food and a DJ filling the airway with music from an era gone by, making it easy to get lost in the 50’s, at least temporarily.

During this year’s Bike Week the NSB car show had a wonderful turnout of cars and plenty of folks strolling the streets. With each car you passed there was chatter reminiscing about the “Good Ol’ Days”.
Isn’t it great how a piece of old sheet metal can bring back so much to so many in one form or another.
