The Krylon Special was the first car Jim Linder and son, Scott, built at Bubba’s Hot Rod Shop and just one of those where a lot of pieces came together. It’s a 1918 Dodge Roadster with a Chrysler 225 Slant 6 for power. The chassis was a rolling “T” kit frame from a friend’s project car that had lost momentum. The frame had a Speedway motors frontend, Chevy truck rearend and a 4 wheel disc brake system from Master Brake. Wheels are late 40’s early 50’s 16 inch Dodge steelies wrapped with good ol’ Coker bias plys. The only way to travel for an open wheel car.  The Krylon Special is Scott’s baby and was built in 8 weeks at the shop.
