Charlie Says: The latest assault on the car culture?

This has been flying under the radar. Gee I wonder why the mainstream left wing media would keep this on the down low? It appears that some states are considering legislation to pass new taxes aimed at those who drive. From what I have read if these laws are passed we will be taxed on the number of miles we drive per year. Sound like big brother to you? I guess if you have a long commute to work, as many do, that would be a real bitch.

Of course, you could always ride your bike to work. Or perhaps take the proposed rail lines that will be built with yet more tax dollars. That would make the community organizer in chief and all his socialist pals quite happy I'm sure. And don't you dare say a word about his jetting around on airforce one burning more fuel in a day than all the full house flatheads built could in a life time. After all THEY do know what's best for us. Well, I have to go know I think I hear the Thought Police at the door.

  • Things are really getting out of hand. Other than voting EVERYBODY out and start with new personel, I'm not sure how to stop this. I hope we haven't gone past the piont of no return.
